Why We Love Daytona

With a pristine coastline, beachside shopping until you’re dropping, delicious oceanfront dining, and entertainment galore, Daytona Beach is a gift at Christmastime and throughout the year. Ever tried Christmas in Daytona? You may want to consider it. Eat fresh seafood, frolic in the surf and soak up the sun while you wait for Santa to come! Christmas in Daytona Beach is a time and place where palm trees are wrapped in thousands of sparkling lights, live holiday theater and traditional Christmas concerts are performed and Daytona’s iconic raceway transforms into a magical display of lights.

Then there is Daytona Beach the rest of the year, serving up amazing nightlife, gentle sea breezes and waves softly lapping a majestic shoreline. Experience the thrilling raceway excitement of Daytona International Speedway. Then, walk across the street to One Daytona, the brand spanking new entertainment center offering up live music every week.

Take a step back in time at the Halifax Historical Museum in Daytona. Come watch the Tortuga’s play at the Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Enjoy arcades and amusements on a pier stretching over the ocean at the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. Check out over 30,000 items on display at Daytona’s Museum of Arts and Sciences, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute and one of the largest museums in Central Florida. Pay a visit to the Peabody Auditorium, a Daytona Beach institution and home to the Daytona Beach Symphony for over 60 years. Then, take in a free concert Friday or Saturday throughout the entire summer at the Daytona Beach Bandshell. Hold on a minute now, I need to take a breath. Whew!

Why do we love Daytona? When a place that is referred to as “The World Center of Racing,” “The Festival Capital of Florida” AND “The Sunshine State” is this jam-packed with fun, what is not to like?!!!
